The inaugural Wild Boar Degree was initiated by brethren from Rush Kentucky Lodge #715 on August 6, 1988. Since then, it has become a beloved annual tradition, providing both fun and education for Master Masons globally. It's traditionally held on the first or second Saturday of August at Proctorville Masonic Lodge or an alternate outdoor site. While it's a casual event allowing for laughter and camaraderie, it instills important Masonic values, particularly from the "Parable of the Prodigal Son." Open to Master Masons worldwide, this degree enriches Masonic life with its unique blend of joy and learning.
The Wild Boar Degree is often celebrated as an outdoor lodge event, embracing nature and fellowship in a rustic setting.
The Wild Boar Degree is sometimes hosted indoors at Proctorville Lodge, offering a warm, communal atmosphere. Join us for a day of camaraderie and Masonic tradition, indoors or out!
